I’m Craig Simmonds, a Gloucestershire-based live events photographer specialising in documenting the audience experience and atmosphere of live music.

Working across the South West (usually somewhere between Gloucester and BristoI) cover everything from grassroots venues to large outdoor shows, creating imagery that bands, venues, promoters and partners can use for social media, promotion, artwork and marketing.

My photography developed in a practical way: in real venues. I started out contributing to small blogs in sweaty, crowded grassroots spaces, learning to work quickly, adapt to constantly changing light and still come away with usable images. Since then I’ve gone on to cover arenas, festivals and larger productions.

I’ve worked with venues such as Gloucester Guildhall on social and marketing coverage, alongside publications including Gigwise, Bristol in Stereo, Punktastic, The Bristol Gig Guide and more.

In 2026 my work was selected for the Thin Line Fest photography exhibition.

I focus on capturing how events feel — the energy of the crowd, shared moments between people and the scale of the occasion, not just the performance on stage.

If you’re planning a show, festival or live event and need reliable coverage, feel free to get in touch via the contact form or through my socials on this page.
